WELCOME

Hello, you divine being!

In honor of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I wanted to make a page with healing practices and resources for healing from sexual abuse. For something that happens as often as it does, sexual assault is not talked about nearly enough.

As someone who has experienced it myself, I know how hard it can be to not only accept that it happened, but also find good resources to heal once you do. Sometimes it feels easier to avoid what you’ve been through and turn to anything to help you cope, whether it’s considered healthy or not. Give yourself grace and be proud of yourself for getting through it, in whatever way that has looked like. When you’re ready, healing and acceptance will always be waiting for you. It is never too late or too early to come home to yourself, no matter what you’ve been through. All it takes is the simple decision to do start.

This is not an end all be all in healing from sexual trauma. But it is a simple guide to come back to whenever you feel like it. It includes healing practices, resources, and more.

I’m so proud of you for taking care of yourself and being here. You are so loved!

THE HEALING PROCESS

I want to preface this by saying that healing in general looks different for everyone. The same goes for healing from sexual trauma. Different things work for different people, and that’s more than okay. The process, also like healing, isn’t always linear. Take what resonates for you and leave what doesn’t :)

Accepting that it happened

This can be the hardest step for some people, and for others it isn’t as difficult. Both are more than valid.
